The schoolroom mid-project...
Oh My!!! Well it looks better than I thought it would at this point but still has much work. This is our schoolroom and you can see the basic structure of it even though the details are not in place yet.
We still have to finish filing all of our 1st/2nd grade items and then we get to organize the new school year. Some things will also be moved around on the walls and in the bookshelves.
Nothing like multiple projects, eh? I thought it was called "summer break"! Ha ha ha. I love it!

The Cheerleader's new room
The Cheerleader went with purple butterflies, flowers, and purple fur! She LOVES her new space and all the area to be able to color, draw, listen to music, or read, read, read, and read.... Did I mention she loves to read?!
Girly Girl's new ballet room!
It still has some fine tuning to do but here are 3 pics of her room right now. She is SO happy!

Enjoying summer - Getting ready for Fall!
Well, we are enjoying summer here for sure! We are also dong the whole "summer clean-up, clean-out" of rooms and desks and closets! Things got rearranged in "the girls wing" this past weekend and we are still trying to get it back together.
They decided to give up their playroom in lieu of having their OWN rooms! SO we made it happen and it has been quite the task. But they are so thrilled to have their own space which they are responsible for and can call their OWN. Of course, the school room is also getting a total re-vamp. I am hoping to post pics here soon.
We are planning to start school on the 1/2 day week ( a week where we do 1/2 of everything to get back in the swing of it all) beginning August 4, 2008 and to be in full swing beginning on August 11, 2008.
I have our overall schedule and will post our total school calendar soon so look for it here! We will keep it updated so you can see field trips as well as holidays and special events. I am hoping to just implant (import) a google calendar we have for our school but will see if I can get that to work! :-)
