Girly-Girl in a patriotic moment...

Mr Revere and I dioramas

This is Girly-Girl's diorama of the book we just finished reading "Mr. Revere and I". This is the midnight ride of Paul Revere with 'coattails flying' on his faithful horse Sheri with the church steeple in the background.








This is The Cheerleader's diorama of the same book. This scene is where Sheri the horse has been shot in the leg. She is being led the long road home when her old owner and Redcoat leader comes retreating at a fast pace (the American Revolution has just begun) on another horse who she has realized does not have the precious freedom she has been privy to with the Revere family. She has learned the sense of pride and honor that comes with being willing to fight for and pay the price for freedom.

We got a chance to see an amazing performance of Peter Pan on Friday
morning. I love it when we get to do these things because we
homeschool! Of course we were there with 1100 middle school kids - it
was great fun for all!
